At Distillery Teodor, where Memento brandies are made, the art of making fruit brandy is based on the great effort and knowledge of our expert technologists, cutting edge technology, traditional recipes, and professional dedication to the natural process of creating these fine spirits.
The fruit we use goes through several significant stages, from the careful cultivation and harvesting of the finest local fruit varieties all the way to the first sip of Memento brandy that you will remember for a long time.

This extensive and sophisticated process, which we adhere to very faithfully at Distillery Teodor, allows us to create elegant and opulent Memento brandies.

HARVEST

Everything starts with the fruit. Only dedicatedly grown fruits, harvested at their perfect ripeness, are ideally suited for our meticulous fermentation and distillation process.

To ensure sufficient fruit quantities of the finest quality, aside from growing fruit in our orchards in Vrdnik, we have created stable & long-term relationships and work closely with fruit growers throughout Serbia. Expertise and craftsmanship as well as the highest quality for each and every fruit is required.

FERMENTATION

To preserve all the distinctive flavors and aromas from our finest high-quality fruit, we carefully monitor the delicate and complex biochemical process of alcoholic fermentation, the conversion of fruit sugars into alcohol.

Memento distillation

DISTILLATION

Precision is key. Not long after fermentation, when all the sugar has been transformed into alcohol, we begin the distillation. A demanding and delicate distillation process is a true art, and our experienced technologists know how to properly obtain a clear eau-de-vie of the finest quality, which preserves the pure, natural aroma and taste of the origin fruit.

Memento maturation

MATURATION

Brandies require a certain amount of aging to mature their flavors and aromas and reach their full complexity. We age our clear brandies, Memento pear, and Memento quince, in inox barrels, and for Memento barrique plum and Memento barrique apricot, we use the technique of cognac ageing, a patient brandy maturation in oak barrels.

BOTTLING

After a sufficiently long aging, we pack Memento brandies in elegantly designed glass bottles that don't just faithfully reflect the highest quality of these fine spirits, but complement one another.

Right there and then, Memento brandies become yours. From the first sip, they will be engraved into your memory, like knots on a tree, stylishly woven into the design of the remarkable Memento bottle itself.
